This is one of those incredible true stories that affirm how random, absurd, magical and uplifting life can be.

It involves a small community of Dorset bus drivers, an unsuspecting village hall, homemade special effects, unshakable dedication, uncontrollable laughter and an unexpected climactic performance in London’s West End!

Our story begins with a friend’s obsession, which began while visiting his girlfriend in Dorset.

During an ordinary supermarket, shopping trip in Canford Heath he saw an unusual poster on the notice board.

:"ALIEN THE STAGE ADAPTATION - AN AMATEUR PRODUCTION!"

"This is unbelievably brilliant!", he shouted out loud!

To his delight this amateur dramatics group consisted mainly of local Wilts and Dorset bus drivers AND they had a blog! He excitedly showed the blog to all his friends in London and eagerly awaited updates.

Soon we all became obsessed. We couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Their blog posts leading to the show were mysterious, charming and hilarious, revealing nothing about how, on earth, they were going to recreate the greatest sci-fi, horror, space movie of all time!

Our curiosity grew so great we knew we had to make the long drive to Dorset, seek out The Allendale centre in Wimborne and see this for ourselves.

Little did we know how much this strange twist of fate would alter life, as we know it, for all of us!
