WHAT IS SPECIAL ORDER 937?
This special order is to forget pantomime and lovingly adapt the Hollywood sci-fi masterpiece Alien, no matter what the cost. That’s exactly what the Wilts and Dorset Bus Company amateur dramatics group did.
​It became the sole obsession of an entire family and their community. Grandson, grandad, mother, father, sons, girlfriends, work colleagues, brothers, sisters, bus drivers, engineers, duty managers.
They spent a year making the sets, models, costumes, rehearsing the stunts and perfecting every little detail. Everyone was involved. ​They all did whatever it took to make this the best homage to the original masterpiece they could, so no wonder they were devastated to perform to a virtually empty village hall on opening night! But unbeknownst to them two of the few audience members knew they were witnessing something extraordinary.
